Our Story
A friendship that started many years ago, the two developed a strong relationship working with their peers in ministry and their local community. While working together on a project, Curt reached out to Kaliyah and suggested the two, “hang out outside of work,” to which she happily replied, “Sure…that could be nice.”
After canceling on him because it was raining. The two shared a few tacos and plantains a week later, and have been inseparable. Sharing similar tastes in food, interests, family traditions, goals and love for Starbucks runs the two have cultivated a beautiful partnership. Last year, Curt proposed to Kaliyah and asked her to be his wife. To which, after many tears and confused expressions, she replied, “YES.”
This union marks the beginning of many beginnings, prosperity and more tacos for Curt and Kaliyah.
After many years together, we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you, November 3rd, 2024. We are honored that you have chosen to witness this love.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day. Dress code is cocktail attire. Ladies can wear floor-length, tea-length, or midi formal dresses. Please refrain from wearing any white, ivory, or champagne tones. Gentlemen should wear a suit and/or tie. No jeans, please!
ARE KIDS INVITED?
We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event with the exception of immediate family. We encourage you to use this evening as a "night out" for yourself!
WHEN DO I RSVP?
Please RSVP by August 25th, 2024, by using the form above.
What if I can't make it?
Your presence will surely be missed. Please RSVP "Will Not Attend." If you already RSVP'd attending, but find that you will not make it, please notify Abtaviya or Kayris.
WHAT TIME IS THE WEDDING?
On November 3rd, the wedding will start promptly at 6:00 pm, we ask all guests to arrive from 5:00 pm- 5:30 pm.
WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
The north side of 44th Drive is public parking, and additional parking can be found along Vernon Boulevard and nearby side streets. However, we recommend Uber or Lyft.
WILL THE WEDDING BE OUTSIDE?
Yes, the ceremony will take place inside and the reception will take place both indoors and outdoors. Please dress accordingly and make sure to check weather conditions leading up to the event. Additionally, please keep in mind that the outside of the venue has rough terrain.
